Innova Opens New Lineage II European Service in Early December, Free to Play
The content-rich competitive MMORPG played by millions worldwide comes to Europe with massive new expansion
LUXEMBOURG CITY – Wednesday, November 23rd, 2011 - Innova is happy to announce that the opening of its brand new free-to-play European service for Lineage II, featuring the highly anticipated expansion Goddess of Destruction, is planned for early December. Details are now available in English, Spanish, Dutch, French, German, Italian, Polish and Turkish at http://www.lineage2.eu, including all the latest information about the new service and a glimpse into the vast range of new content and features coming in Goddess of Destruction, the largest update Lineage II has ever seen: stunning new graphics, 4x faster leveling and character advancement, eight powerful ‘Awakening’ classes, hundreds of new weapons and armors, unexplored hunting grounds and legions of monsters – a revamped world and over 400 hours of brand new Lineage II gameplay await European players on launch day, all without restrictions and completely free.
Innova is deeply committed to providing European players with an optimal gaming experience, tailored specifically for their core needs and tastes, right from the beginning. Lineage II will be localized in Europe in several stages, with care and attention given to each language in the areas of game localization, player support and community management. The first localized versions will follow early next year with a small gap between each, allowing Innova time to process and work with the valuable feedback provided by players. Additional information about upcoming versions will be announced in January 2012.
European players will be able to register to the new service quickly and easily on Innova’s secure, user-friendly platform called “4game”, and play on dedicated European servers with native language support. they have the files from asian and russian servers so no reason for ncsoft or innova not to start the open beta. lost in translation maybe ?
Ahehe. They announce “brand new” lineage 2 experience, show you up a new website – http://l2.eu – and what do you think inside of it??? It is – SUDDENLY – l2.ru, Russian Innova’s website for lineage2. It shows nothing behind a teaser movie and some phrases in Russian. I’m Russian, so I obviously can read/write Russian, this is a teaser website also. Just keep in mind sentence “INNOVA FAILS”. Hell, you’ll need it. Yep, right, Innova fails everything every time it touches something. We know it best after 3 years of Innova’s Lineage 2 official Russian service is accessible. Now Innova fails first time in Europe: they shouts about game launch, but no real game is available, you can’t acces even fucking website. Ahehe… JUST AS PLANNED.
If somebody of you wants get through teaser right to real Russian lineage2 website, just delete “god” from web-address (so it should be “http://l2.ru”) and hit enter. But I doubt if you can read it en masse.
I’m very sorry about that, folks. I had a hope that you will get better service than we have. But Innova shows it’s best even for you. I didn’t play much on Innova’s servers – I don’t like it’s poor service, client’s care and reliability. Fail is not wrong for Innova, it’s just normal condition.
But, hell, it’s a shame for me… Keep waiting. Some day it will work… somehow.

Well friend plays at innova’s l2.ru and its isn’t such lolfail as everyone says, and who says doesn’t know much about innova tho. Innova has WAY better community maganagment then ncsoft, more care and relablity than NCSOFT, thats a fact.
What my friend said and what I saw and know, I can assure you can forget those who play at lineage2.com words about l2.ru, because they are FALSE or HALF TRUE. Sad, but its true.
In europe lots of people heard about innova way more possitive things, than negative. People sees only bad things, they even not mention all good things, espeacialy I mean lineage2.com forums…
And its hard to say that lack of info is FAIL, no its not. After they officialy announces and won’t keep their own word, then you can say FAIL or what you like to say.
I personally heard that INNOVA is a crap server – but thats a fat lie. I used to play on l2.ru and believe me it’s hella fun
(even tho i don’t speak russian was great anyways ;D)
I never played on retail but from what i saw and read about it seems like this (my personal opinion):
1.Customer service (both sucks, even NCSOFT suck at this thing)
2.Bugs (Innova have more or biger then NCWest)
3.Updates (Innova getting them far before NCWest so that’s why they have also more bugs)
4.Bots/exploits (NCWest don’t care Innova looks concern about it, maybe just a parade but still better protection)
5.People (NCWest 2 mid populated servers vs Innova 14 high populated servers)
So from my point of view Innova FTW (they at least know how to make a bussines out of a MMO when NCWest almost killed it on our market)
@Zyph Maybe you are right but till we learn korean/japanese or go to Taiwan Innova will be our best choice.
1. You’re right. Both client service policies are awkward.
2. First year or two Innova had a lot of bugs and reliability problems. Now many Russian players agree that both services are mostly meets each other concerning quality.
3. You’re right. Most bugs are wiped by the time when NC installs an update (about 2 months…)
4. Last year NC greatly improved their anti-bot policy. But they still have problems connected “radar” and such programs. Innova’s FROST security system is way more powerful, but it requires Admin windows user account rights, and monitors every activity and hard disk contents. You’ll probably get banned if it detects bot/radar/etc on your hdd.
5. Nothing to comment. You’re right.
Learning Asian languages is a big no-no for me. I don’t beleive European people will enjoy Asian servers. This is not about “language wall”. It’s about different mentality, lifestyles and other cultural things. We treat games like games, not a “second job” or a “must-do-it” things.
1. INNOVA > NCwest, now when ncsoft is f2p it probably will be even worse. No offence, but Innova isn’t that bad as americans jeliously says.
3. Innova gets faster updates, because they care and they act faster. Translation have nothing to do with bugs. Simply NCWest doesn’t care how long translation will take, so they get update later.
2. Innova has same client as NCwest, same bugs, just diferent client language. One reason is that NCwest may have less bugs than ruoff, because ruoff get client faster and reports bugs faster, and when lineage2.com gets update, update already has aplied same bug fixes reported from ruoff/other offi, simple as that.
Also for example, look how NC cares about bugs, that even they didn’t had opened GoD PTS and innova will have another one. (ruoff, euoff) I don’t see any reason why NC shouldn’t have PTS, oh yeah… why they need to take care of bugs, while ruoff and other offi servers, who got update, did all the work… imo ncwest is as lazy as ever was. :3
PS: And looks like China and Indonesia offi servers has WAY better community than ncwest too. Who could imagine, that China quality will be better than NCwests. Huh?
Noone didn’t complained about MEGAXUS, (indonesia offi provider) all these years. And suddenly when INNOVA takes care about russians succesfuly and want do same thing with europians, lineage2.com players is MAD… everyone started saying how ncwest is good, and how innova “sux”. To me, looks like old lineage2.com players got very jeliuos or smth, that even says bad things about innova… (Probably because they are scared? Doesnt want to play alone? Because ncwest FAILS at some point, that community population goes so fast way down…?) ;>

I don’t think so. The old L2 players got angry when they realized that years of their gameplay are lost because NCWest closing the European server. All the time they used for improving their toons is lost.
